PERSONAL PROJECT: THE ALCHEMIST’S GARDEN

As a personal project, I have digitally painted 4 artworks inspired by perfumes in Gucci's 'The Alchemist's Garden' fragrance collection.

Gucci's intentions are to 'transport you to a mystical garden of rare and precious ingredient’. I set the intention do the same and used each name of the perfume as a brief to visualise these concepts. I drew inspiration from Pre-Raphaelite and Renaissance paintings to push the use of textures and brush work to give the illusion of the medium of oil paint, with a botanical and enchanting feel.
